Reaction to Characteristics of a 21st Century Classroom

This article took me back a little bit to the beginning of my college career at Temple in the College of Education. The changes between the 20th century classroom and the 21st century classroom are more evident to me now than ever before. From the first education course I have taken here at Temple in 2007 until now, every aspect of the 21st century classroom has been emphasized in the courses I have taken and the practices and projects that I have successfully executed. I knew times in the world of education had been changing, but it is so real and in my face now that I realize I am a part of this change. It is up to me and my classmates to take on the role of the 21st century teacher to ensure the success of the future generations that will rule our towns, cities, states, and national governments. After reading this article, I am struck with an eager and earnest mindset to be a part of history as the American education system is changing hopefully for the better. I feel proud to play such an important role at this time in our country's history, and I honestly hope that I can  be the 21st century teacher that this country and its young citizens need.
